Where to Spend Galentine’s Day in Madison + A Giveaway!

It’s time for everyone’s favorite February holiday – Galentine’s Day! Seeing as I’m single AF this year, I am definitely more excited about Leslie Knope’s favorite day than I am about Feb 14th. And y’all know me! I’ll take any excuse to celebrate the amazing women in my life! I just had two of my best friends from high school, Kelly and Julia, visit me this weekend and we had the best time. We always have the most interesting conversations and they make me cry laughing every time we hang out. They always remind me how important my female friendships are and how lucky I am to have such smart, hilarious, fun-loving women in my life.

In honor of Galentine’s Day, I wanted to share a couple of things! First of all: I’m doing a GIVEAWAY! I’m so freakin’ excited to have teamed up with my friend Emily and her company, House of Ginkgo, to give away one of their beautiful watches! Her company embodies the Galentine’s Day spirit – for every watch sold, part of the proceeds go toward the HER Initiative, a non-profit that support women’s education around the world. Her pieces are gorgeous (I literally thought it was a high-end piece when I saw her wearing one at work) and they have a major feel-good factor. To enter to win one of the Biloba Watches, head over to my Instagram and leave a comment below!

The other thing I wanted to share are some super fun events coming up in Madison this week for Galentine’s Day, including one I’m helping to host!

  • Take your girls to Revel. If you’re looking for a fun, chill, girly time I can’t recommend Revel enough. It’s a bar where you can get your craft on while sipping cocktails with your friends – is there anything more Galentine’s than that?! I just went a few weeks ago with my Kendra Scott team and made the cutest monogram piece out of nails and string that now hangs proudly in my kitchen. They’re open from 4-9pm on Wednesday, so go check it out! And huge thank you to Revel for letting us shoot these photos in their super cute space!
  • Come shop with me at Evereve! On Wednesday from 6-9pm, me and a bunch of other Madison bloggers will be having a little shopping session at the Evereve at Hilldale Mall. There’ll be mocktails, appetizers, and an extra 15% off (including sale stuff!) for everyone who stops by. I’ve never done something like this before, so I’d love to see some familiar faces! Also, perfect if you need any last minute V-Day gifts for the ladies in your life!
  • Z Bella’s Galentine’s Day Celebration. If you’re on the West side and are looking for a fun (and free!) event on Wednesday, definitely stop by Z Bella in Middleton for their Galentine’s Day party! The night includes makeup tutorials, hair styling, hand massages, goody bags, and more. I wish I could be there! Reserve your spot on Facebook now.
  • Get your sweat on. I’m usually work out solo, but I’ve started going to workout classes with some of my girl friends the last few weeks and it’s been so fun! It’s been so fun trying out new workouts and knowing that I’m meeting someone gets my ass to class. We just tried a spin class at Cyc for the first time and I’m obsessed! Some of my other favorite classes are Dragonfly’s Wednesday night Power Up (hot room HIIT) and Solidcore.

What are you up to this Galentine’s Day?! I’d love to hear if you have any traditions or do anything fun with your friends! And remember to head to my Instagram to enter the giveaway for a House of Ginkgo watch: @maddiekbrady. I can’t wait for one you guys to win!

REVEL SOUNDS AMAZING! Love crafting, love drinking. PS You have such great content! Found your blog a couple weeks ago as I was looking for info on Madison (since I’m moving soon!!).

Ugh I don’t have an instagram ???? but I’d still like to be a part of the giveaway, if possible!

  2. Elisabeth says:

Paint nights are always fun too! And as someone with zero artistic talent I am always surprised how good it looks with the instructor’s coaching ????

  3. Hailey says:

Wish I was in Madison to shop with you for some Galetine’s Day self spoiling! ❌⭕️

  4. Michele Pineda says:

what a nice blog! On Galentine’s Day I will probably be enjoying dinner with mom and talking to my teenager who is actually studying in Central America and is hoping to be a teacher there someday (Math/English) as she recognizes the need that many girls and young women have there, a quality education is definitely important but sometimes not always attainable. Love the fact that the HER Initiative supports the need for education for young women across the globe as well!

  5. Jaye Smith says:

Love the giveaway and love your blog!

  6. Rachel Roepke says:

Yay Galentine’s Day!! I’m always jealous seeing all the things you post going on in Madison… not that we don’t have cool stuff down here in Austin, but I miss the Midwest!! ????????
