The Target Jumpsuit I’ve Been Wearing All Summer

I found this amazing jumpsuit while on a swimsuit shopping expedition to Target and I mostly bought it because I needed a win out of that shopping experience lol. But it’s actually turned into one of my most worn pieces all summer. It’s a linen blend so it’s light and breezy but it doesn’t get insane creases like linen-only pieces do. It’s just super flattering and perfect for a casual work setting, like my office.

To be totally transparent, my only beef is that it isn’t the most amazingly made product of all time (this is Target, after all). After a few wears I did find a hole in one of the legs wear the thread had just worn away, but it was really easy to fix and hasn’t really impacted my use of the piece. Just wanted to be honest!

The jumpsuit is still available both in store (I bought mine at the Hilldale Target in Madison) and online. It’s also available in sizes up to 4X and is currently on sale for plus sizes folks.

Jumpsuit – Target (available in plus sizes), Shoes – Target, Necklace – Kendra Scott, Bag – Dagne Dover, Earrings – River Island, Glasses – Bulgari

The other important part of this outfit I wanted to mention is the bag! This beautiful Dagne Dover bag was a gift (er, semi-permanent loan lol) from my friend Anna when she moved to Singapore and I’ve gotten so much use out of it already as an office bag. It’s the Classic Tote in the Legendary Size and it honestly makes me feel like an adult office lady. It holds it’s shape incredibly well and stays open all the time so it’s super easy to find everything you need. It will hold everything you could possibly need: laptop, iPad, notebooks, wallet, lunch, glasses, snacks, jacket, and more. It’s not available in this exact color any longer, but there are a bunch of others available, including a few that are on sale for under $200.

Again, in the spirit of transparency, I wouldn’t recommend this particular bag to someone who travels a lot (which is why Anna parted with it). It doesn’t close securely, it isn’t the most comfortable to carry for long periods of time, and is pretty bulky for a carry on. BUT if you’re someone who drives to work and just needs to lug a 9-5 worth of shit around then I think you’d really benefit from it. (If you are looking for a great travel bag, I recommend the OG bag from Lo & Sons. I’ve had it for 5 years and it’s still amazing.)

This bag is definitely an investment and I got incredibly lucky to have an enormously generous friend to loan me hers, but for what I use it for, I could definitely see it being worth the money. It’s the sort of bag you have forever.

Oh and I wear glasses! They’re reading glasses so they don’t make a lot of appearances on the blog, but if you know me from work you probably think I wear them 24/7. My eyesight got really bad in college because of all the reading I did, but it’s steadied out since. I also secretly love having glasses. 🙂

That’s it! I hope you guys are having a great week! Check out some of my other recent outfits here: another wide-legged outfit, a vintage red dress, and a pretty sundress from one of my favorite online boutiques.
